Umed Paliwal
Umed Paliwal completed his Master degree within HyCAMP at IIT-Kanpur.
His thesis work led to a publication, and the datasets developed will be valuable for continued understanding of the sources of aerosols in India. He is currently pursuing Master of Public Policy (MPP) at University of California Berkeley. With background in Environmental Engineering and analytical consulting, Umed is trying to understand how governments and businesses can combine technology, data and policy to create sustainability solutions. At Berkeley, Umed is also a part of the NSF sponsored DS421 (Environment and Society: Data Sciences for the 21st Century), a two year fellowship program to promote interdisciplinary collaboration in sustainability and climate change research.
